SOYA CHAAP MASALA

It is  avery delicious protein enriched dish.It goes well with Laccha paratha or Rice.Soya chaap is popular street food in Northern India.

INGREDIENTS-

  • Soya sticks 6/7
  • Onion – 2 sliced
  • Tomatoes -5 nos
  • Ginger -2 inch
  • Green chillies -3
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder -2 table spoon
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder-2teaspoon
  • Garam masala powder -1 teaspoon
  • Roasted kasuri methi -1 teaspoon
  • Fresh curd -2 tablespoon
  • Whole garam masala(2 green cardamom,5 cloves,1 inch cinnamon stick)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 4 tablespoon or as required
  • Fresh coriander leavess

METHOD

  • Make a paste of tomatoes,green chillies and ginger.
  • Fry the onion slices and make a paste of it.
  • Boil soya sticks in water for 10 minutes.Drain out and dip boiled soya sticks in the cold water for 5 minutes.
  • When soya chaap cool down gently remove from sticks.And cut them in pieces.
  • Take the pieces in a bowl add curd ,little salt and mix well.Cover it and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry soya chaap pieces on medium heat till light golden brown.
  • Heat the oil in a pan add whole  garam masala ,salt and tomato paste .And fry till it leavs oil.
  • Now add turmeric ,coriander, red chilli powder and fried onion paste.After 5 minutes add soya chaap pieces and mix well.
  • Now add 1 cup of water or as required.
  • Add Garam masala powder and kasuri methi.Cook on low heat till it leaves oil or 10 minutes.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves serve hot with paratha  or rice.
